Iris believes that the creativity, energy and values of people in enterprises are a key driver for positive change. She joined B Lab Germany as Executive Director in February 2022. B Lab Germany is a country partner in the global B Lab nonprofit network, transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet by providing B Corp certification standards and a range of open source impact management tools .
Over the past 20 years Iris has worked as strategy consultant and sustainability investment analyst, founded and led a technology education non-profit and was involved in innovation projects for different global companies and non-profit networks.
She dropped out of an electronic engineering degree but then completed an undergraduate degree in cultural studies in Germany and a master’s degree in Human Rights from the London School of Economics. She is vice-chair of the TuaRes Foundation investing in girls education in Burkina Faso and chair of Apps for Good, an award-winning non-profit growing the next generation of problem solvers and tech entrepreneurs.
