Lenzen

Dr. Elmer Lenzen is CEO of the macondo foundation. He is also the founder and CEO of macondo publishing GmbH.

He studied journalism and politics at the universities RUB Bochum and WWU Muenster (both in Germany) and UCR San José (Costa Rica). Macondo publishing is a leading publishing house in Germany for sustainability topics. It publishes, among others, the magazine “UmweltDialog”, the “Global Goals Yearbook” with support of UN organizations and regularly supports German federal and regional governments and institutions in sustainability communication.

Before macondo, Dr. Lenzen worked for German and Swiss newspapers, such as Die Woche, Handelsblatt, Taz and Tages-Anzeiger (Zurich) and the German news agencies DPA and EPD. He is also co-founder of the “Sustainable Business Angels”, a network of dedicated CEOs giving advice to young social entrepreneurs.
